Install Jaspersoft studio for Eclipse - Visual design tool for JasperReports

In this document, I will instruct you to install Jaspersoft Studio, a visual tool to programme JasperReport.

This document is based on:

Sometimes you confuse three of them:

JasperReport: is a library reporting and programming reports with different formats like PDF, Html,...

Therein:

• JasperSoft is a visual design tool for JasperReport. JasperSoft can be installed in Eclipse as a Plugin.
• iReport is similar to JasperSoft. It is a visual tool for designing JasperReport report. It can be installed in Netbeans as a Plugin.

Therefore, to programme JasperReport report on Eclipse, you need to install JasperSoft Studio.

Note: This installation apply for Eclipse 4.6 - NEON:

Install into Eclipse:

Enter:

After installation is complete, restart Eclipse. Now you can be ready JasperReport programming on Eclipse.

This installation apply for Eclipse 4.4 (LUNA) & 4.5 (MARS).
