The Intel Hardware Accelerated Execution Manager (Intel® HAXM) is a hardware-assisted virtualization engine (hypervisor) that uses Intel Virtualization Technology (Intel® VT) to speed up Android app emulation on a host machine
If you see the following message when you run Android apps, that means you have not installed Intel Emulator Accelerator, you need to install it.
In Android Studio select:
  • Tools/SDK Manager
The SDK Manager download the installer to the "extras" directory, under the main SDK directory. Even though the SDK manager says "Installed" it actually means that the Intel HAXM executable was downloaded. You will still need to run the installer from the "extras" directory to finish installation.
  • C:\Users\{user}\AppData\Local\Android\Sdk
Installing:
You can configure to specify the maximum amount of RAM for the Intel Hardware Accelerated Manager (HAXM). Recommended to 2GB.

Note: Setting aside a large memory reservation may cause other programs to run slowly when using the x86 Android emulator with HAXM.
